Q.
What books can you expect to find on the list?
There are hundreds of thousands of books for children. Some of them are ideal for use as read-aloud texts. Many others are useful for small group reading instruction such as guided reading lessons.
In this list we have leveled and included thousands of books that would likely be used in guided reading lessons. The list includes almost all books that are published as series specifically for use in guided reading; many trade books are included as well. As you can imagine, leveling all the children's books that are published would be an impossible task. But you will find a great variety of texts at every level that appropriate for use in guided reading lessons and each month many new titles are added to the list.
We are always on the lookout for good books for use in guided reading and we work with our teams to level and post them as quickly as possible. Teachers have already recommend books that should be leveled and we’ve purchased and leveled most of the books that have been recommended by teachers on this site.
Q. How long does a login session last?
Your login session will expire after 20 minutes of inactivity. Every time you refresh a page or click a link to a new page within the site the "20 minute timer" will be reset. This means you can stay on the site indefinitely so long as you are actively using the various pages.
Q. When do I get charged for a "login session"?
You may login, manage your account information, read the help sections and use any of the Contact Us forms without being charged a login session. Only when you visit one of the content pages or use the search engine will your account be charged one login session. The distinction between which items are “free” and which items will cost you a login is evident in the left-hand navigation bar throughout the site.You will only be charged once per login session no matter how many searches you perform or content pages you visit.
